Helping develop a substance use prevention, treatment and recovery oriented system of care in West Tennessee

Baptist Healthcare’s Center of Excellence in Addiction Medicine (BH-CEAM) and the West Tennessee Addiction Network’s (WTAN -Rural Communities Opioid Response Program -RCORP) is a multi-year initiative funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).

The WTAN Project is aimed at reducing the morbidity and mortality of substance use disorder (SUD), including opioid use disorder (OUD), in high-risk rural communities.

West Tennessee Addiction Network (WTAN), BHC-CEAM and C4BHI as the primary evaluation team report on quantitative data involving a consortium of 17 regional partners and are conducting qualitative surveys to understand lessons learned for improving a newly formed addiction medicine consult unit serving patients admitted to the hospital.

Here is an example of a 6 month data snapshot created by C4BHI to help WTAN disseminate the project’s impact throughout the region.
