C4BHI staff are continuing to support the implementation and lead the evaluation of the Central Vermont Prevention Coalition’s (CVPC) 3–year HRSA–funded rural opioid reduction grant called “Building Safe Harbor”. The accomplishments of year one illustrate the tenacious efforts to pivot and maintain a productive coalition even in the midst of pandemic impact.
In year one, there were over 160 meetings with members of over 17 organizations involved, 160 naloxone kits distributed, 37 EMS overdose reversals, 3700+ individuals screened for SUD, 1000 people received opioid pharmacotherapy, and 188 participants engaged in peer recovery coaching.
