Transforming us into a culture of evaluation

As one of our first exercises in working with Patrick, we created a logic model for one of our core student programs – that process uncovered a lack of alignment within the organization and lead to a deep review of the program and our being better positioned to support the program throughout the academic year. Patrick has helped to build a robust evaluation structure which includes both quantitative and qualitative components, a tracking system that is easy to update and rich with information and an assessment process to make sure we don’t lose sight of what to do with the data once we have it.  He has guided us to “do” for ourselves and when we don’t have the bandwidth, he has stepped in to “do”. His flexibility has enabled us to accomplish a great deal, including a deep evaluation process for our student programs, for all of our workshops, and we have started an Evaluation Advisory Group within our organization to build the infrastructure for this work moving forward…transforming us into a culture of evaluation.
